David is a multidisciplinary circus performer who specializes in balancing objects, juggling and unicycling. With his clowning and acrobatic abilities, he brings excitement and laughter no matter the occasion.
David has performed in a wide variety of events, including the International Clown Festival in Nanjing, China (2008), the World Buskers Festival in New Zealand (2010), the Taiwan International Festival of Arts (2005), the Edmonton Fringe Festival (2008 and 2010), the Halifax Busker Festival (2007), the Montreal International Jazz Festival (1999-2009), the Kingston Busker’s Festival (2006 and 2008), and he also performed at the TOHU (2005 and 2008), in Montreal.
Clowns Without Borders (CWB) - Canada has enabled David to perform in several schools across Quebec, as well as in the Northwest Territories. On an international scale, CWB has also brought him to Haiti (2005), Ethiopia (2007 and 2008), and the Sichuan region in China, in collaboration with Circus Action International (2009).
In 2008, David was featured in the documentary The Memory Box, directed by Wayne Shoenfeld. This long feature received an honorable mention and was officially selected to be shown in many festivals and events. With his incredible ability to make people smile, Dawish (David’s clown) accompanied disfigured children through their facial reconstruction surgery in Ethiopia. In the documentary, these children smiled at David after their surgery... often for the first time in their lives.
Although originally self-trained, David has studied with various coaches and masters, including René Bazinet, Soizick Hébert, Francine Côté, and James Keylon. Self-employed since 2000, he is a motivated and self-sufficient worker, while still striving to collaborate with like-minded people, groups and companies. He is constantly working to refine and adapt his skills for various festivals, as well as corporate and family events. As a circus performer, a show host and/or a master of ceremony, he has gotten involved with numerous social organizations on an international scale, for humanitarian purposes. David has literally traveled around the world to share his various skills and the gift of laughter.
